This question gets asked from time to time so I figured I would address it in a blog post.
I know that many hypnotists incorporate sound effects in their recordings such as background/whisper tracks, binaural beats, etc. Different effects can have different impacts and some people enjoy the multi-faceted experience that comes with enhancing recordings in this way.
For some people, an excess of sound effects causes a mental overload as their mind can’t keep track of everything that’s going on, in effect creating a confusion induction which helps them to achieve trance.
For others, the subtle inclusion of background/whisper tracks and/or binaural beats adds an extra dimension to their trancing experience.
So why haven’t I jumped on the bandwagon? Why don’t I offer recordings with sound effects? It’s a good question and the answer is very simple: I want my recording to mimic live experiences with me as closely as possible. My style of hypnosis is different to “the norm” – I tend to use a nuanced, conversational style which rarely incorporates common themes such as countdowns. I personally love the “raw” nature of live sessions – there’s simply you and me and nothing else to interfere or get in the way, or distract. I aim to emulate that with my recordings so I can bring you as close as possible to my ideal.
My belief is that by keeping my recordings “simple” – just you, me and my voice – that this allows you to immerse yourself in the experience in a way that I think can sometimes (though not always, to be sure) lacking in over-engineered recordings where the additional sounds can become a distraction rather than an enticement.
Some recordings will and do work well with added sound effects and this is something I do plan to experiment with, but by and large my recordings will remain simple and intimate. I will be releasing a new recording soon which will have 2 options – one will be a regular recording, the other will be enhanced with sound effects. These two files will be bundled together so that you can pick and choose which you prefer. The recording is called “The Coin Toss”. Keep your eyes open for it!

I wrote (and later recorded – see below) this piece not particularly as a trance experience (though if you fall into trance enjoying it, rock on my friend!) but more as a musing on definitions of dominance and submission and how safely engage with and navigate what can seem like a rather overwhelming experience to the uninitiated (exploring the world of domination and the desire to submit).
Submission, when done appropriately can and should be a pleasurable and rewarding experience, and I wanted to offer some simple, generalised guidance for taking those first few steps on what could (and should) prove to be a very exciting journey. It’s obviously subjective – being based on my own experienced and interpretations – but I sincerely hope it proves to be useful for you and would love to hear your feedback!

The concept of erotic hypnosis is still a relatively niche one, and not as of yet particularly well developed. It’s growing, for sure, but there are still grey areas where delineations are somewhat blurred. The differentiation between what constitutes a hypnoDomme and an erotic hypnotist are excellent examples of this.
The two terms are often used interchangeably to mean “more or less” the same thing, but I’m not convinced that that’s the case. To my mind, if you’re a hypnoDomme then by the very nature of what you do you’re likely also an erotic hypnotist but I also believe it is possible to be an erotic hypnotist without also identifying as a hypnoDomme.
Why? Well, it all comes down to the specialities of each profession. To aim to make things a little clearer I’ve provided brief (and subjective as they’re purely based on my own interpretation) definitions of hypnoDommes and erotic hypnotists to hopefully better illustrate my point of view.
HypnoDommes are hypnotists who specialise in working within the BDSM niche. They utilise hypnosis as a means to heighten/deepen typical D/s (Dominant/submissive) scenarios. The focus is on creating a richer dynamic, and introducing trance allows a hypnoDomme to deepen their control (with the consent of their subject) which allows for an often much more intense experience. What were traditionally physical aspects of the BDSM scene – for example bondage – can also be brought into play as a hypnoDomme can use the power of a hypnotic trance to convince a subject that they are appropriately bound (and have the subject believe this absolutely) even in the absence of physical restraints.
Erotic Hypnotists are more generalised. The application of hypnosis is for the purpose of eroticism/arousal and whilst this can encompass D/s elements, it is by no means confined to them. Hands-free orgasms, for example, can be used by HypnoDommes as an expression of control but they do not need to be framed this way. An erotic hypnotist could induce a hands-free orgasm purely because it is a pleasurable/erotic experience. Some people do not like the idea of being submissive/giving up control and with erotic hypnosis they do not have to. Giving up control is not a requirement to enjoy trance. It’s simply an added option that exists if you want to utilise it.
Personally I identify as an erotic hypnotist who can and does incorporate being a hypnoDomme when it’s appropriate to do so. Why do I identify myself this way? Because my main focus is pleasure, and (as long as it’s legal of course), I don’t discriminate how that pleasure is enjoyed. Some people’s pleasure incorporates submissive elements, but for others it doesn’t and I like being able to embrace both sides. Besides, even when I do incorporate D/s elements into trances, my style of domination is typically much more subtle and nuanced than the average Domme. I’m not overt, I don’t make demands…but I still manage to accept and exert complete control where appropriate.
I hope that as the erotic hypnosis/hypnoDomme scene continues to grow the delineations and nuances between the two will continue to become more pronounced as I do worry sometimes that people who may be interested in Erotic Hypnosis are perhaps discouraged by the assumption that submission/surrender and other D/s elements are required. Erotic hypnosis is open to all who enjoy pleasure in all its forms. As a hypnotist I can literally make your fantasies become your realities and let’s be honest– how cool is that?!
I would love to hear your thoughts on the similarities/differences between hypnoDommes and erotic hypnosis so please feel free to share in the comments below.

So the eclipse happening today (21st August 2017) has been in the news (certainly in the US) a good deal recently. It sparked an interesting conversation between myself and a dear friend about the parallels between eclipses and hypnosis and to that end we both decided to express our thoughts. My friend me-chan’s story can be found here: Eclipsed (excellently written and well worth a read!) and I’ve included my own thoughts in a recording for you below.
As always, relax, indulge, enjoy and if you appreciate it and/or have thoughts/comments please do share – makes my day 🙂

I do worry sometimes that humanity and reason are too easily cast aside when certain people indulge in fantasy. I mean, there’s nothing inherently wrong with enjoying a fantasy – quite the opposite – but sometimes it does come at the expensive of the object of that fantasy. My reasoning is based on the D/s dynamic, but also hypnosis as a fetish. As a hypnoDomme I have lost count of the number of times over the years I have endured people being rude, trying to manipulate me, top from the bottom (pretend to be submissive whilst simultaneously attempting to dominate/control interactions). For what it’s worth, I don’t think the majority of those encounters were deliberately malicious. I think that some people get so lost in their fantasy that they forget that they’re dealing with a real, living breathing person. Especially over the internet where people do have a tendency to become “keyboard warriors” when hidden behind the safety of a computer screen, which additionally acts as a further barrier to “reality”.
Except….for every ignorant moron who does behave inappropriately (luckily they’re relatively uncommon – I’ve just been doing hypnosis for a long time!) there are many, many more who remain polite, respectful and are an absolute joy to interact with. They’re polite and respectful but also take great pleasure in engaging with hypnosis, so there’s a shared passion to be explored and enjoyed and when this is done in an environment which fosters mutual respect and communication it can be a really beautiful thing.
I think that both the hypnotist and the subject will enjoy the experience more if they acknowledge each other’s humanity – there is a perception among some that hypnoDomme’s are somehow “other” – they sit aside/above subjects and demand to be worshipped. Some Dommes may actively encourage such behaviour and if they explicitly request this then great – the ground rules for engaging them have been made clear, but please, please, please don’t automatically assume all hypnotists are the same! We’re people, we’re human and we have our own interests, wants and needs. The best way for you to discover if a hypnotist matches up with what you’re looking for is to ask, rather than simply assume. Any hypnotist worth their salt will be happy to answer any questions you have, and once you’ve asked your questions you’re in a much better position to make an informed decision about whether a hypnotist/hypnoDomme is right for you. If you don’t ask and simply assume then you run the risk of upsetting them and/or incurring their wrath, which you really don’t want to do ;).
I say this as someone who straddles the hypnotist/hypnoDomme divide. Yes, some of my work has Domme elements, but at the end of the day it’s not how I identify myself. If you ask me, I’ll say I am a hypnotist who loves sharing pleasure in all its forms, and who enjoys experimenting. My experimenting happens to cover erotic and recreational hypnosis, so some of it does fall under the “hypnoDomme” remit, but at the same time I am not a lifestyle hypnoDomme. You wouldn’t know all this about me unless you asked (or, as in this case I chose to share), so it is worth doing your research. Also – and I like to think other hypnotists would agree with me here – respect and manners cost nothing, but they go a long way to showing us that you value and respect us for us, not because we’re the embodiment of some selfish little fantasy you have. That respect is worth a lot.
This is a bit of a random blog, even for me, but as it is an issue which crops up more than I’d like (not a lot, but still too much) I just wanted to share a gentle reminder that whilst, yes, I am f*cking awesome as a hypnotist (modesty out the window there for a second!), I am also a human being who appreciates manners and respect. You’ll also find that you can engage with myself and likely others on a deeper level because you’ve chosen to behave this way, so it’s a win-win.
Anyhow…hope you enjoy my somewhat meandering musings and I would love to hear your thoughts 🙂

Hey guys…
So – this audio (below) was meant to be on the product page for my new file, Oblivion, but unfortunately technical difficulties have meant that isn’t possible right now.
The below is a short explanation which goes into a little more detail about this recording and why I am so excited about it. I would love to hear your feedback!
